Arthur King’s NYC Exhibit Recap Aug 22, 2019
The Arthur King collective recently hosted a multi media exhibit at the NYC art gallery 98 Orchard. The exhibit marked the public debut of the short film NYLONANDJUNO, a visual accompaniment to the Jason Lytle album NYLONANDJUNO. Created by Mind Palace, this short film is inspired by themes and scenarios Lytle shared when describing each individual song, recreated with handmade and hand painted sets and miniatures. Read a recent interview that Jason did with Metro NY to learn more about the NYLONANDJUNO project. The exhibit also featured the Arthur King Wauters Farm interactive audio visual installation as well as Randy Randall and Aaron Farley’s Sound Field Volume One all in one room. Remote multi-channel headphones were distributed to viewers, who could walk from one piece to the next, changing the channel to listen to accompanying music.
The opening reception on the evening of August 15th featured live performances by Jason Lytle, Arthur King, and Randy Randall. We would like to sincerely thank all who attended and contributed to making this event so special. Check out photos by Aaron Farley from the exhibit below!
