Dangerbird welcomes The Night Sea Nov 06, 2015

Dangerbird is proud to introduce The Night Sea, a truly alchemical and shared ritual begun by Peter Walker (Eulogies/Broadheds) and Dan Kincaid that fearlessly explores the creative process, its roots in the unconscious, and its eternal dance between the rational and intuitive mind.

The project emerged through Ph.D. coursework in Mythological studies, where Peter and Dan met. It soon bloomed into recordings to be presented next year.

On November 12th at Pehrspace near downtown Los Angeles, Walker and Kincaid will present as a duo. With no pre-meditation about what might come forth artistically, the process invites everything that is present—within and without, individually and collectively—to be part of a creative experience.

The Night Sea is hypnotic, percussive, oblique and visceral. It is a sonic tsunami, unleashed without regard and explored without limits. As Walker put it, “As a songwriter and performer for almost two decades, I have come to realize that the unique nature of this project presents both the dream and nightmare scenario. The Night Sea, the ritual, might provide ecstasy or it might provide horror. It might suck. It might rule. In fact, I am sure it will do both.”
