The One AM Radio Touring with Dntel & Geotic This August

Wednesday June 8, 2011 - 47 months ago

The One AM Radio is embarking on a full-U.S. tour this August with fellow Los Angeles electronic music visionaries Dntel and Geotic.

The tour, dubbed The Soft Alarm Tour, marks the first-ever US tour for Dntel whose acclaimed 2001 album Life Is Full of Possibilities contained the first collaboration between Jimmy Tamborello and Death Cab For Cutie vocalist Ben Gibbard – a project which would later become known as The Postal Service.

The One AM Radio’s recent LP Heaven Is Attached by a Slender Thread has been in heavy rotation at influential stations KCRW and KEXP, who called it “folk-tinged electronic music that walks the line between insomnia and dreams, music meant to be listened to on a long stretch of road late at night.”

Geotic is Will Wiesenfeld (aka Baths), a darling of Pitchfork’s, who described his guitar-based electronic music as “swathed in amniotic fuzz.” After sold out tours this past year in the US and Europe as Baths, this will be Will’s first tour playing his Geotic material.
