Division Day & Bad Veins Announce September Tour
Wednesday July 29, 2009 - 13 months ago

Division Day have announced a month long tour in support of their sophomore full-length, Visitation, out August 18. The tour, with labelmates Bad Veins, will kick off September 2 in the band’s hometown of Los Angeles, at Spaceland and run through September 24 in Austin. See the full list of dates on the Division Day tours page.
Visitation was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Justin Meldal Johnsen (NIN/Beck/Gnarls Barkley) with whom the guys discussed musical waypoints that included Harvey Milk, David Sylvian, Cocteau Twins and Pink Floyd. “It wasn’t about genre, but it was more about sounds. And he was able to ascertain what about those elements were important to us,” says keyboards/vocals Rohner Segnitz. The album features the lead single, “Chalk Lines”, a propulsive track that exemplifies the band’s darker, more textural sound.
