The Fling Add Spring Tour Dates with Heartless Bastards

The Fling are heading back out on the road on February 29th for a two-week run with Heartless Bastards kicking off with a show at The Southern in Charlottesville, VA and wrapping up March 10th at Warehouse Live in Houston, TX.

The Fling’s debut album, When The Madhouses Appear, received high praise from such outlets as the LA Record, cheers it as “heartfelt and personal,” and KROQ.com “Locals Only” Blog acclaims, “although The Fling certainly exude a nostalgic aura, they simultaneously maintain a sound that is both progressive and unfamiliar.”

The band’s most recent release, the 7-song What I’ve Seen – EP was released in November 2011 to coincide with a massive 44-date full-U.S. tour. Standout tracks “Dogpile” and “Cuz A Good Man’s Hard To Find” have been showing up in hit TV shows Revenge and Parenthood amongst many others in recent weeks.

The Fling Signs With Dangerbird Records

We are proud to announce that eclectic California rockers The Fling have signed with Dangerbird Records. The Long Beach-based band is currently prepping their forthcoming album to be released on Dangerbird in spring 2011; in the meantime, the hard-working group is embarking on a busy touring schedule that is sure to secure their reputation as a formidable live act.

The Fling has just completed national tour dates with their new Dangerbird labelmates Darker My Love, with the two acts appearing as special guests of headliners Delta Spirit.  The Fling will soon bring their eclectic mix of folk, rock, pop and psychedelic music to a January 2011 residency at famed Silver Lake hotspot Spaceland, followed later in the year by their debut Dangerbird release.  The band’s previous album, 2010’s When the Madhouses Appear, was praised by the LA Record as “heartfelt and personal,” while Creative Loafing described it as “beautifully melodic and well-textured songwriting.”
